About Crea

Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals.

Crea began her writing career in polyamorous whychoose, featuring truly dynamic relationships of all kinds. While she’d never given much thought to the world she’d built, almost all of them are queernormative with many monsters/gods/demons being pansexual as the ‘default’. This was all before she’d truly been emersed into the queer community; before she identified as queer in any way.

In 2023, Crea published her first MM novel and hasn’t looked back. While her polyamorous whychoose days seem to be behind her, being polyamorous at heart is part of who she is and so there are often poly relationships within her vast Creaverse because, as we all know, love is love.

When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don’t even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!

Crea has an absurd amount of collections, some of which are truly questionable. For instance, it two and a half drawers filled with socks too many socks? Perhaps we should I shouldn’t mention the tote of socks in the basement.

Crea has a whole life’s worth of dragons. Let’s be real - dragons are cool af, right. However, Crea also has a strangely large collection of DND dice and yet, has never played a game of DND in her life!

Crea collects crystals, dicks, books (obviously, right?) and has an extensive craft area that she rarely touches but can’t stop adding to.

A little more personal?

I have been writing in some capacity since I was seven. In grade school, we had a free write session every day. I was also on the newspaper in grade school. In high school I wrote all sorts of angsty poetry (what teenager hasn’t?!) and some random YA adventure short stories. After high school I did a whole lot of sticking my toe in and out of different ponds, testing the waters in many areas of life. During this time, I got into writing fanfiction and spent a lot of time reading. When I moved back home after several years of exploring my early twenties, I started writing novels. I have since acquired a few degrees, changed career fields, and explored the world of publishing from the inside.

I have explored most career fields from child care, to real estate, military, retail, fundraising, web design, amusement park operator, etc. But the one thing that’s always stayed consistent is that I’m constantly writing. It was only during the pandemic that I had so much time on my hands that I thought, ‘hey, now seems like a good enough time’ and I finally took the plunge.

Another thing about me is that I’d be a full time student if it was free. No, seriously. I love college. I have several degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing and English. Some day, I’d like to teach creative writing online at the collegiate level. I really loved the classes I attended and would love to share my experience and advice with other students. Also, I’d like two more degrees. A Master of Fine Arts and a Doctorate. See? Told you I’d be a student for life if it was feasible.

Lastly, I am a collector of many things. Books, obviously. But also dragons, Harry Potter memorabilia, craft things for mixed media and sewing, herbs to make incense, and puzzles. Yes, my life is chaos with all these things cluttering up my house. But don’t worry. My husband is building us a new house and I’ll have my own library!!
