I’ve always had bad luck when it comes to love. In fact, I somehow become an ex’s new beau’s bestie over and over again.
Which is what has brought me back to the Isle of Kala. Ten years ago, I vacationed here with a man I thought I could love. He fell in love with someone else. Now I’m here celebrating their anniversary.
To make it even more bittersweet, it’s Christmas. Everyone is happy, holly jolly, and has heart eyes.

Maybe being dragged into a holiday game will distract me from being alone. At least the guy I’m partnered with is cute.
